Preeto opens the e-bike market for tailor-made drive solutions

With Preeto, Zhaowei has ventured into e-mobility - with a clear focus on high-performance, compact, and quiet drive systems that are precisely tailored to modern mobility concepts. Preeto has a key advantage: extensive know-how from the automotive, smart home, and telecommunications sectors. “Even though the e-bike sector is new to us, our developments benefit directly from that expertise,” emphasizes Ludwig. The brand deliberately adopts an open approach, making it more flexible than many other manufacturers. “We’re open to partnerships, because that allows us to respond more quickly and precisely to market demands,” says Ludwig.

Three drive solutions

With the P60, P90, and P110 models all areas of application are covered – from lightweight urban bikes and gravel/MTB models to cargo solutions. The P60 is aimed at anyone looking to develop an e-bike that looks and feels like a classic bicycle. Despite its compact design, the P60 delivers maximum performance at minimal weight (1960g) – ideal for urban, road, and gravel bikes. The focus is on riding fun: just the right amount of support for your personal ride challenge.

For demanding tours and technical terrain, the P90 is the right solution. This drive uses every watt-hour in the battery efficiently and, according to Ludwig, is the perfect choice for sportier riders. Whether steep trails or long adventures – the 750W P90 is built for peak performance and dynamic handling.

For professional transport applications, Preeto offers the P110 with 750W. Ludwig describes it as the ‘workhorse of the portfolio’. Specifically designed for cargo e-bikes, it provides the power and endurance needed for heavy loads – ideal for urban deliveries and commercial use. Production of the P90 series began in March 2025 at the Dongguan plant.

Whisper-quiet motors

In addition to performance and efficiency, Preeto focuses especially on noise reduction. “A quiet drive makes all the difference – whether in the city or on the trails,” says Ludwig. That’s why the brand invests specifically in reducing operational noise. The result: virtually silent drives that significantly enhance riding comfort and meet the premium demands of European markets.

Custom complete systems

Preeto specializes in implementing custom requirements. “We’re open to OEMs coming to us with their own ideas,” explains Ludwig. Thanks to its high production depth, the brand also develops and manufactures tailor-made solutions in large volumes. “Our customers can choose whether they want just the drive or a complete e-bike system from a single source,” says Ludwig.

For complete solutions, Preeto additionally offers individually matched controllers, batteries, and IoT solutions. Four battery models are available with capacities ranging from 360 to 720Wh, which can be flexibly adapted to various vehicle concepts.

Strong presence in Europe

With ZW-Drive in Munich, Preeto is optimally positioned to respond quickly and flexibly to the needs of the European market – both in pre- and after sales. “We work closely with our partners to shorten development times and deliver solutions on demand,” Ludwig emphasizes. Initial projects with well-known manufacturers are already underway, and the results will soon be showcased at leading international trade fairs such as Eurobike.
